The Strong Girls programs' main goal is to empower and support girls in their development toward adulthood. In the program, girls learn what their strengths are and how they can use their potential, in order to gain more control over their lives and the challenges they face in doing so.
In the coming weeks, they are working with a group of young girls from De Kolom, a practical school in North and invited them to come to A Lab. Young people who attend a practical school need just a bit more support than young people in regular education. Often students at a practical school have a slight mental disability. Together with the girls, they will work on defensibility and self-confidence. Themes such as boundaries, friendships and social media are addressed.
A Lab members will provide support as well. Starting November 22, for 9 weeks in total, the girls will visit different companies in A Lab and organize activities with these companies. In this way, the horizon of the girls will be broadened and they will gain additional knowledge about the A Lab community. Together we believe in a world where everyone has the opportunity to have ambitions, develop qualities and make dreams come true.
