Routes
Vincent Goes North is a creative program by Common Culture and the Van Gogh Museum in which young creators develop a personal art concept, inspired by their own stories and the life and work of Vincent van Gogh. Through photography and writing, the participants translate themes such as identity, resilience, and perseverance into images and text. During the program, the young people were mentored by Wessel de Groot and Eddy van der Laan, both of whom have studios at A Lab.
Over the past few months, they have attended workshops in spoken word, photography, scenography, and visual storytelling at A Lab. Their work was featured on JCDecaux billboards throughout Amsterdam and at the Van Gogh Museum during Vincent on Friday on May 29th. The works can be viewed in the ground floor hallway of A Lab between 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM until September 30th.
A Lab opens its walls
With the Canvas Collective, we create space for work that deserves to be seen. Work that challenges, inspires, asks questions, or offers new perspectives. Four times a year, we give creators the opportunity to showcase their work in the ground floor hallway of A Lab. Curious? Click for more info and sign up!
