Young people are not allowed to vote until they are 18, on the contrary, they still have the most future ahead of them. The choices for the future made by politicians now have the most impact on them. In the run-up to the House of Representatives elections on November 22, Tolhuistuin, together with secondary schools in Amsterdam, is organizing the Vote for the Future project. Students will discuss what they want for the future.

Through a specially developed teaching package secondary schools will pay attention to the elections. Students think about what they want their world to look like in 10 years and what wishes they have for their future. They talk to adults and invite them to vote for them. How does it work?In this exhibition you will find the cards with wishes, worries and dreams of young people from Amsterdam for the future. We ask you, as a passer-by and voter, to be inspired by the requests and wishes of the students. If a request appeals to you, you can add a sticker with "I vote for you!", and write your first name and age.In return, you can grab a button with "I vote for the future. A great way to show that the voice of the new generation counts in your vote!
