Jazib Ali is a documentary maker and founder of Mudland Studio. He recently started working from A Lab and has already noticed how this place thrives on curiosity, exchange and people who build things with care.
His work lies at the intersection of storytelling, culture, and social and environmental justice. He works in the fields of film, journalism and creative strategy, and often collaborates with artists, researchers, activists, and institutions. Much of what he does is determined by where he comes from. Jazib is native to Kashmir in the Himalayas and his projects often stem from long-term relationships with frontline and indigenous communities, while developing and manufacturing across Europe.
Currently, Jazib is working on a documentary, an immersive VR project and a number of collaborative initiatives around climate, culture and media. In addition, Mudland also works with organizations on stories, campaigns, and creative thinking when stories need to be treated with depth and responsibility.
He is always open to exchanging ideas, having a cup of coffee or just listening to what others are doing here. If any of this appeals to you, feel free to come say hello or get in touch.
“Looking forward to being part of the A Lab ecosystem.”
