Since 2017, RFG Media has been supporting refugee journalists and photographers in the Netherlands who want to resume their profession here. They offer guidance, but are also a community of creators and a media production house. Journalistic productions by the participants are published on their own platform and with media partners. Exhibitions, network meetings and editorial visits are also organized. Three new apprenticeship programs will start soon.
Each apprenticeship program focuses on refugee professionals with a specific background, namely:
Reporter: for writing journalists
New Voices: for photographers
Newsroom: for participants with an interest in investigative journalism
