Lifelike animals stare back at you the moment you cross the threshold of the Big Bear Affair lab. Here, taxidermist Bjorn gives deceased animals a second life.
What started as a hobby and a forced pastime grew into a successful business. Located in a lab at A Lab that is a visit in itself: a cabinet of curiosities in the tradition of the 16th–18th centuries, where interior design and taxidermy converge. A stuffed zebra, raccoon, and birds of the most extraordinary shapes and sizes. Species you have never heard of, with the craziest beaks, colors, or wings…
By studying the natural posture and appearance of the animals, it is possible to give the animals & insects a lifelike look. Every animal is obtained in a responsible and legal manner and prepared with the greatest care and attention to the smallest detail. For Big Bear Affair, nature conservation and education are priority number one. By preserving the treasures of nature and showing them again in the splendor they once had, people continue to see the beauty that exists in nature, and we become aware once again of how special, fragile, and valuable it is.
