Cas Roode has been doing an internship at A Lab since September 1. He is studying Media Editor at the Media College Amsterdam and learns various things there, such as making radio, writing texts and filming and editing images. In his spare time, he writes a column for Thuismakers twice a year and may well see a future in writing.
Cas loves variety and wants to learn and discover many different things in order to decide what he wants to do after his studies. As long as it makes him happy: “I like it when I'm working on something that has a good end goal.” Cas will be doing an internship until February.
Since September, Dana June Roethof intern at A Lab, while following the Event Producer course at the ROC in Amsterdam, location Zuid. Full of enthusiasm and curiosity, she expands her knowledge and discovers all facets of the event world, from concept and promotion to implementation and guest experience.
Dana's choice for this direction is personal: her mother works as a production manager at ROOFF, a full-service photo and film production company in Amsterdam. Her mother's dynamic work inspired Dana to choose the Event Producer course and shape her future in the event world.
She dreams of starting her own event company. That ambition sets her in motion every day: Dana wants to develop widely and discover what makes her heart beat the hardest. That is why she has already taken first steps in the profession and those first practical experiences show her how essential guest experience, atmosphere and teamwork are in successful events.
At A Lab, Dana gets plenty of room to grow further. She actively participates in various projects, experiences collaboration in creative teams and gains insight into logistics and organization. This internship is a valuable opportunity to develop professionally and get closer to her dream of owning her own event company.
